About the instructor
Having performed and trained extensively in the United States, JPL returned to Wellington in 2019 and has been acting as the senior teacher and creative director of Basejump Comedy since. He has also taught and performed for Wellington Improv Troupe, the Scruffy Bunny Theater, and his own Experimental Improv Masterclasses.
One of his fondest memories on stage involves playing a mule and holding a plank position (poorly) for 3 minutes as his teammates rode on top of him.
