During this class, you will dive into the nitty gritty of each scene position (realistic, straight absurd, alternate reality, character-driven and mapping) draw on all you have learned in previous levels and learn to perform the format – “The Deconstruction”.
The final performance for the term will once again be at our amazing class showcase for friends and family (date to be confirmed).
This Class is open to those who have completed Level Two: Game of the Scene, or have experience from an oversea’s school (ie IO Chicago, The Improv Conspiracy Melbourne, etc. Please contact us to discuss)
About the teacher:
James discovered improv in 2013, and soon fell in love with both the art form, and the comedy. He trained with the Improv Conspiracy Melbourne and performed in cage matches with his team Black Xanadu. Upon returning to NZ, James met local Improviser/teacher extraordinaire Clare Kerrison, and co-founded BaseJump Improv to bring this exciting style of improv comedy to Wellington, where he is currently teaching performing and producing. In his spare time, you’ll find him in the kitchen toiling over a mean spag bol, or dabbling in the world of sketch comedy.
Come and Join us for this exciting next step!!
